The Delta4 Software June 2026 release introduces new functionality for Machine QA, improved gamma evaluation, and enhancements to the Statistics module, helping clinics monitor machine performance more efficiently.

To ensure you benefit from the latest features and workflow enhancements, we recommend that all Delta4 users upgrade to this new release.

What´s New

The new Machine QA 3D module allows you to use highly modulated DICOM plans to monitor Linac performance over time. By comparing measurements against a defined baseline using gamma evaluation, the module helps identify deviations and long-term trends. Machine QA 3D is available as an optional licensed module.

A new Output Check function has been added to the standard Machine QA module. It enables fast evaluation of:

• Monitor unit linearity
• Output constancy
• Output versus dose rate

making it easy to monitor machine performance over time.

This release introduces a grid-based gamma calculation, providing improved calculation accuracy. In addition, you can now right-click directly in the Gamma Evaluation table to apply new pass criteria to existing measurement results, making result evaluation faster and more efficient.

The Statistics module now includes Linac Tagging, allowing imported DICOM plans to be associated with a specific treatment machine for improved tracking and trend analysis. CSV exports have also been enhanced with the option to include patient name and ID.

Important Notice

Version Delta4 June 2026 (1.00.0340) is the last software release that supports conversion of legacy Machine QA measurements to the current protocol-based Machine QA format. Users planning to migrate historical Machine QA data are encouraged to update before a later software version is released.
